The 3rd International Meeting of Specialists on Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics at Supercritical Pressure (HFSCP2016)

       Following earlier meetings in Pisa (2010) and Manchester (2014), we are pleased to announce The 3rd International Meeting of Specialists on Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics at Supercritical Pressure (HFSCP2016) to be held in Sheffield, UK, on 25 & 26 August 2016.

       The Meeting is aimed at providing a forum for discussions and exchange of information and ideas on the latest development in heat transfer and fluid dynamics of fluids at supercritical pressures. The topic is of increasing interest due to the application in areas such as, nuclear and thermal power generation, solar and geothermal energy, air conditioning, refrigeration and waste processing.

       The Specialist Meeting will be of one and a half days duration, immediately following the IAEA Technical Meeting on Heat Transfer, Thermal Hydraulics and System Designs for SCWRs on 22-24 August at the same venue. Participants in this meeting are encouraged to also attend the IAEA Meeting (Link to IAEA Technical Meeting Website).

The meeting venue, The Diamond, is a new university building which was opened on 28 September 2015. The building is now home to engineering undergraduates.
